Wedding bouquets give your look that pop of color, but be unique when creating yours by adding some special touches

While choosing a beautiful wedding gown is an absolute “must” for every bride-to-be, the bridal bouquet does play a very important role in the bride’s look too. Choose a stunning bouquet to add a pop of color to your attire and remember to make it truly unique by incorporating special touched into it. Here are some ideas to inspire you:

Seashells. If you want to have a beach wedding, seashells will be a wonderful choice for the bridal bouquet. You can either create a bouquet with your favorite flowers and incorporate seashells in it or you can create a bouquet made entirely out of seashells.

An elegant brooch (or more). This looks lovely with elegant weddings that lean towards a “vintage” theme. Choose a beautiful brooch made out of pearls or precious stones and incorporate it into your bouquet to add grace and elegance.

Feathers. Yes, you read that right. Feathers can be a wonderful bridal  bouquet addition. White feathers (or pale/dusty pastel-colored feathers) work well with delicate, elegant weddings. Also, bigger, more opulent feathers (such as the peacock ones) go great with masquerade weddings.

Pinecones. If you plan on having a winter wedding, pinecones can add that “magic” touch to your bouquet. Leave them natural or have them spray-painted in silver, gold or your wedding colors if you want them to be 100% unique.

Raw cotton. If you want your bouquet to look feminine, delicate and a bit playful at the same time, choose to incorporate raw cotton into it. With a bit of creativity, this can look absolutely stunning – and it will surely be very special too!

Be unique and create a wedding cake to accompany your Winter Wedding! Infuse winter flavors and décor with these ideas:

The wedding cake is one of the most important parts in a wedding – and most brides will think twice before ordering a particular type of cake. The truth is that these days, your options when it comes to the dessert are limitless – and this can be both amazing and quite confusing as well.

If you plan on having a Winter Wedding, don’t forget to bring some of that amazing “holiday spirit” into your cake as well. Here are some great ideas on how you can blend winter flavors and décor with your ideal cake:

Red velvet cake, chestnut filling and deep green icing. Create a cake inspired by the Christmas tree and by the most popular winter cake flavors and your guests will definitely ask for a second slice. For décor, you can use almost anything you want to, from “Christmas tree ornaments” made out of marzipan to simple, lace-like décor.

Buttercream and blueberry. Since the blueberry shade of blue has been quite popular this year (and especially for winter weddings), why wouldn’t you bring that same color into your cake too? Use simple cake, a filling made out of blueberry and buttercream and icing made out of white buttercream.

Chocolate, hazelnut and caramel. This cake will feel like a really amazing treat for everyone. Go for chocolate and hazelnut cake, caramel filling and delicious chocolate-buttercream icing for the kind of cake that will feel both delicious and sinful at the same time!

Wedding Planner 808 can help you create the ideal Winter Wedding. And regardless of what cake flavors you choose, rest assured that we will be there to lend you a helpful hand and to make sure everything about your Big Day goes smoothly.

Decorate for a Winter themed wedding with décor that doesn’t scream Christmas!

Having a winter wedding is a lovely idea, but many brides feel that they want to avoid having a wedding that “blends” into Christmas when it comes to its theme. That’s perfectly understandable and if you don’t want a wedding theme to “scream” Christmas, you should know that there are other options available as well. We have picked up some of the best ideas to inspire you so make sure to read on and find out more.

Winter wonderland. A winter wonderland-themed wedding is usually centered around the idea of snow and ice. You can play around with white and shades of blue and you can create something that is remarkably beautiful if you use your imagination. This kind of wedding always turns out elegant and graceful and it fits like a glove with the season!

A Scandinavian theme. If you want your wedding to be at the cross-bridge between elegant and rustic, this is the kind of winter theme you are looking for. Wooden signs, Scandinavian prints for the table linens, winter-colored flowers and dishes inspired by the Scandinavian cuisine – these are just some of the ideas that would work very well for this wedding theme.

A NYE wedding. If you don’t want your wedding to be Christmas-y, but if you want to associate it with another big winter celebration, a New Year’s Eve wedding is a great idea. The best thing about it? You can use all the glitter in the world and you can party all night long and you’ll have the perfect excuse for it: it’s a new beginning for you as a couple and a new beginning for everyone because you are stepping into the New Year.

Saving money for your wedding is not an easy task, be sure to follow these tips to keep your bank account full:

These days, weddings can get quite expensive – even when you are not planning for anything too “grand” and even when you are not going to invite too many guests. From flowers to attires and from the venue to the food, everything has to be perfect too – but sometimes, doing this on a limited budget seems to be almost impossible.

It is absolutely crucial that you try to save as much money as possible for your Big Day. Once you start planning everything, you should feel safe that your bank account will not simply “run out” of money before you even manage to get through all the details that have to be handled.

How do you do this? How do you save money for a dream-wedding? Here are some tips to help you out:

Get a good idea of what everything costs. You can’t start saving money without having at least a vague idea of how much you should be saving. Inquire about the prices various wedding vendors may practice and make sure that you know exactly when these payments should be made (before the wedding, after it, and so on).

It’s in the details. Saving money is all about the details: not leaving the tap water open, resisting the temptation to buy things you don’t need and other similar “tactics” can help you save a lot of money.

Don’t be afraid to buy wedding-related items and services on discount. There are certain times of the year when a lot of wedding vendors will offer their services/products with very high discounts and this can help you save a lot of money on the costs of your Big Day.

Wedding Planner 808 can help you plan the perfect wedding and we will definitely help you stick within your budget too. Come and let’s have a discussion – we guarantee you will not regret it!

Be bold and try out some unique wedding cake flavors instead of sticking to the traditional

Every detail of a wedding can make a huge difference, of course. However, when it comes to the wedding cake, most couples will pay attention to what they pick for their Big Day. If you want your wedding cake to be truly memorable, forget about the traditional flavors and go for something that is really unique. Here are some great ideas:

If you really love strawberry cakes, you can definitely choose them as your cake “basis”. However, instead of going for the already traditional strawberry frosting or filling, have the actual cake made with strawberry syrup. Pair it with vanilla filling and with cream frosting for an elegant and yet delicious taste.  Strawberry Shortcake is a filling with fresh strawberries and cream frosting.

Carrots may not be your usual “wedding cake flavor”, but the truth is that they can make for a wonderful and delicious dessert. A carrot cake with cream cheese filling and cream cheese frosting with a dash of coconut can taste absolutely delicious – and it’s definitely something unique for everyone at the wedding.

The traditional chocolate cake can get a really nice twist with a bit of mint, raspberry or caramel in it. Have your confectioner create a chocolate cake with mint, raspberry or caramel chocolate mousse as filling and dark chocolate as frosting. A refreshing and original idea!

Since Christmas is just around the corner, you may want to bring some of those fabulous, rich flavors associated with winter holidays into your wedding cake too. For instance, you could have your confectioner make a chocolate cinnamon wedding cake with salted almond chocolate filling and with chocolate cinnamon mousse as frosting.

Try the island flavors of Hawaii which include Guava, Lilikoi or Passion Fruit, Mango, Sweet Potato, or Coconut Haupia cream.  They are light in color but big on flavor. Try a Rainbow Cake incorporating any of the island flavors and you will be delighted with the Flavors of Hawaii.

Your creativity is the only limit you have when it comes to combining flavors for the perfect wedding cake – so don’t be afraid to use it! And if you need someone to help you out with the other wedding planning details as well, don’t forget to contact Wedding Planner 808 – we’ll make sure your wedding will be as special as you and your love story!
