As a Maid of Honor, What Are Your Duties on the Wedding Day? Read Here to Find Out

Being a maid of honor can be a great opportunity for you to show a friend you are truly there for her. However, in an age where tradition fades out, it can be confusing to actually be a “proper” maid of honor. What are your duties on your friend’s big wedding day? Here are some of the most important things you will have to do:

Traditionally, the maid of honor will help the bride with choosing the dress, the bridesmaids’ dresses, as well as with planning the multitude of details that make for really beautiful weddings. Also, she will spread out the word about the couple’s registry as well.

Before the wedding, you will be in charge with making sure that all of the other bridesmaids have their dresses, jewelry and bouquets and that they all get to the wedding in time.

During the ceremony, the maid of honor is usually the person who will hold the bride’s bouquet and assist  with the train of her gown.

The maid of honor  (and the groom’s best man) also acts as witnesses and they sign the marriage certificate.

The maid of honor is also included in planning the bridal shower and/or bachelorette party.

The maid of honor is usually providing emotional and moral support.

If both you and “your” bride are confused and stressed out, Wedding Planner 808 can help create the wedding she has been dreaming of ever since she was a little girl. Be a good maid of honor and show her the advantages of working with us – at the end of the wedding, she will definitely be more than grateful for your idea!
