There are so many fabrics to choose from, which will be the base for your wedding dress?

Choosing a wedding dress can be a confusing and overwhelming experience for a bride-to-be. Most likely, you have been dreaming of this moment ever since you were very young. But now that you are faced with the “final countdown”, you find that making the actual choice is much more difficult than it used to seem.

The fabric used for the creation of your wedding gown matters a lot, so make sure to pick it carefully. Here are some tips to help you out with this:

If you are planning on a destination wedding (and even more than that, for a beach wedding), remember to choose a light fabric as the base for your wedding dress. Otherwise, you may end up feeling uncomfortable in your dress. Go for chiffon, lace and other similar fabrics and try to avoid satin and anything that is synthetic.

For winter weddings, remember to choose a thicker fabric but also take into consideration the fact that your wedding venue will most likely be warmer in the day but chilly at night.

Your wedding theme may help you choose the right fabric for your wedding gown too. For example, if you are planning on a vintage wedding, lace will look absolutely wonderful regardless of the “era” in which you choose to “set” your Big Day.
